Does anyone else sometimes think “I want to see my ship!” and if no kind soul has put all the scenes on YouTube actually go so far as cross-referencing IMDB credits for the episodes they shared, swapping the DVD discs in and out and fast-forwarding so only watching the ship scenes?
Because I just rambled misery and I hate spreading that have some positivity!
Killjoys season four is on amazon instant video!!!! Only the first episode so far but they’ll hopefully add it weekly? I don’t actually know but I’m psyched because I didn’t think I’d get to watch it until next March, which is when they added season three.
Yeah I watched it and I’m confused as hell but I don’t care because the entire episode was about how strong Dutch and Johnny’s friendship is! Her North Star indeed 🙂 seriously that is one of the things I love most about this show that the most important relationship isn’t romantic.
So many things I want to write and can I focus and write them? Nooooo. Seriously where are the jumper cables to kickstart my brain?
– I wanted to write a part three for In Your Arms for this months Monthly Rumbelling. I planned it but haven’t got beyond that.
– There’s Painting Layers of Love of course
– There’s my original writing
– There are so many others and not all Rumbelle
Like I was watching The Librarians 4×04, the silver screen and it suddenly clicked what first attracted Eve to Flynn. My first thought was “fic it” as that is ALWAYS my first thought. Once upon a time (no pun intended) that would have been my first action too /headdesk
The trailer for the Spy Who Dumped Me came on the TV and I still think that my initial reading of the promo poster as gay would have been so awesome. I wanna write it. Will I? *laughs* I wish!
Sorry I know this is whiny. I’m just fed up with myself. Life happens. I really need to stop letting that be an excuse 🙁
@galactic-pirates, my darling, I will wake from a coma, rise from my coffin, return from the afterlife when this fic updates.
same
erm same?
Honestly I feel like Nov16 a meteor hit my life, like the one that hit the world and wiped out the dinosaurs. Nothing has been the same since. I had hoped (and as always famous last words) that this summer would be the start of getting back on track but just when I was thinking that might happen I got thrown a gigantic curveball. I know excuses, excuses.
This art cover aesthetic thing is still one of my favourite things ever that I can’t thank you enough for btw – I could admire IT forever *hugs*
The voice acting is amazing. I love their whole ethos of looking for stories (and not wanting to miss out on good stories!) it’s the latter which makes them adventurer material maybe?
Now I have no idea how far into Nazmir I am, and that is the only Horde zone I’ve touched (ditto with my main on Alliance side but with Drustvar) so I don’t know if the Tortollans show up elsewhere but I hope they do! I really want them to meet the pandaren, it seems like they’d have a lot in common.
Can we say playable race? Idk what classes they qualify for as they seem dependent on scrolls. Still anyway they are cool. I like them 🙂
We have a lot in common. I’m questing for the story, hanging out to listen to all the dialogue, going after every chest and rare mob that pops up on the map. I’m taking my time, only playing when I have rested XP, bouncing back and forth between Alliance and Horde, I’m only level 112. There’s no rush. I’ll be 120 for a couple of years after all.
I watched The Librarians last night – again! (I know I’m obsessed)
I decided to rewatch key episodes from seasons 1-3 before starting season 4 to delay the end of NO MORE Librarians because *cries* 10 full seasons and a movie wouldn’t have been enough, 42 episodes is just sad, but I digress.
The Candle Room
This is what I was thinking about last night. How many candles were burning in there? It certainly looked like more than 8 (Flynn, Eve, Ezekiel, Jacob, Cassandra, Jenkins, Charlene and Nicole).
Some will presumably belong to Librarians out of time like Teddy Chislington, Darrington Dare etc. but what about Duloque? He was Lancelot, another immortal knight. I don’t think the source of his immortality was ever confirmed but Jenkins said that he made a choice, and he chose the library. So maybe Duloque was originally with the library but he wanted to use magic, living so long made him feel superior etc. hence the split.
Jenkins mentioned once that immortals liked the south of France in the summer I think? I forget but I’m sure there was a line like that. Now I know there’s vampires but perhaps there’s a lot more former library personnel out there too. Those that sided with Duloque, or who got tired of fighting and wanted some personal time. Jenkins said that in the 1600′s he wasn’t at the library because he had a personal crisis of sorts so maybe there are others.
This circles round to a vague pet theory of mine. Dean Devlin was one of the creators of Stargate. In Leverage it was WOG that Eliot had worked for the SGC so is it too far-fetched to wonder if maybe Jenkins and the others started out life as Ancients? After all Merlin was an Ancient, even if the knights apparently were not but this is a different reality. One where perhaps the Stargate was never invented. Where the Ancients pored their research into other areas.
We know from Atlantis and the accidental creation of the Wraith that the Ancients were interested in immortality. We also know from when Rodney blew up most of a solar system that exotic particles – the rules of physics not applying – happened sometimes when their research went wrong.
What if magic, the leylines etc. was the result of an experiment that went wrong (or right depending on your pov) and the remaining Ancients split over how to handle it, much like the Ancients and the Ori split. That would explain Jenkins stuttering over “different species”, it would explain the libraries vehemence on “magic corrupts” AND it would explain why there were more than 8 candles.
It would also explain the whole “this side of the mirror” thing – can we say ascension anyone? The whole glowing and transforming into light sure looked familiar.
It’s amazing how new shiny ignites the desire to play – even the not new and shiny parts.
I have probably played too much today *cough* ok no probably about it, but I don’t do that kind of thing much anymore. I can go weeks with barely logging in, so one day every now and then is no bad thing.
Anyway, Battle for Azeroth is out and thus far I have stuck to … all of my resolutions *falls over* I know right? Basically I resolved to only play with rested XP and to go back and do some old world-based stuff because I figured in the heydey of the new expansion there would be less competition.
So before I even did anything on launch I went to the Isle of Giants to farm some bones. Surprisingly there were a few other people there but I think that was for the world boss (probably because it is reset day). I did a couple of laps of the island and netted 2k bones. The packs were only half-respawned on the second lap so I decided to call it a day. Plus I might as well see whether the Primal Egg gives me the last mount I need, or if I have to farm up another one later.
I then took my main, my Alliance Paladin to Kul Tiras and did a few quests in Drustvar before running out of rested. I then took my Horde Demon Hunter to Zandalar, did a few quests in Nazmir before again running out of rested.
It’s my habit to relate new things to things I already know. I got a few Wakanda vibes from the Zandalari Princess. I smiled at “Zandalar Forever” 🙂 though I was also reminded of Swtor. Nazmir felt a bit reminiscent of the Hutta swamps or the Drummond Kaas temples in the dark forests. On the Alliance side Drustvar is about getting House Waycrest back which brought to mind all the house politics of Alderaan.
You know one day I really should finish playing through all of Swtor’s class storylines. I have a little bit of Sith Inquisitor left and then Smuggler. Then of course there’s the expansion stories plus it was 2011 when I started with the Bounty Hunter and I’ve forgotten it /facepalm.
Verdict on BfA so far? Well I’ve barely scratched the surface. I’m still 110. However I would say the zones feel vast and the story is compelling. I like the “choose your own zone” thing which was carried over from Legion. I like the rares and treasure boxes which have become standard. I get sidetracked on quests sometimes as they pop up on the map heh.
They have currently disabled Legion Assaults, otherwise I confess I might have taken my Death Knight for a spin. She’s currently 100 and the last of my profession alts that needs to get to 110. I hope they come back soon.
Speaking of Legion Assaults, I think that’s my only reservation about BfA at the moment – alts. The Legion Assaults are super handy for levelling. I was getting about a level a time and they take half an hour. It’s a nice way to level alts, minimal time investment but still fun. I don’t know whether BfA has anything similar. Obviously I levelled all the alts through zone questing + dungeons to get to level 100, so it doesn’t matter I guess, it just would be nice.
{Quick
request to anyone reading: I’m watching OUaT for the first time, and I want to
avoid spoilers. So, if you want to discuss something spoilery, I’d be grateful
if you could start a new post for that. Thank you!}
Let me just say upfront that I enjoyed this Merida spin-off of immensely. Not sure what it has to do
with the main storyline, but considering what happened in the main storyline, I’m complaining.
And my wolf girl is back! Hey, Ruby! Missed you.
screencap chosen quite intentionally
You know, I actually like the Bear Witch a whole bunch, but we are going to
have words about this, lady!
Ahhhhhhh I’m sorry, I have been neglecting my tumblr and I hadn’t noticed you’d watched this 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’m so glad you liked it!
Yes, all the RedWarrior, BraveWarrior, BraveRedWarrior OT3 goodness
I do tend to mostly fall down on the side of BraveWarrior because their meeting in the past with Mulan whipping off her helmet took my breath away and screamed “ship me! ship me!” and I adored their banter while sparring and it was just all so eeeeek.
I *think* this might be my most-watched Once episode tbh. I know sacrilege as a Rumbelle fan but there are several awesome Rumbelle episodes – this is the only episode with Merida and Mulan on screen together.
Ooooh I need to tag you in the shiny happy BraveWarrior gifset, it’ll be an excuse to have it back on my dash again 🙂 *whistles*
Also Hannah John Karmen was as awesome as I expected. Hope Van Dyne was even better. Luis was not as funny. Cassie was sweet and Scott was at his best with her.
Ahhhhh I can’t believe we have to wait until 2019!!!!
I mean I know she has a lot of jumpsuits but I just find this really cool. Actually I super love the season 2 premiere for soooooo many reasons. It encapsulates so much of what I love about this show.
