*hugs ficlets* They are all so adorable. I love Rumple’s first impression of Belle, and of course she needs a companion in an adventure. hah! I love that Lord Maurice gave in, though by this point he’s probably afraid that Belle will sneak out during the night. lol

Love what you did with Rumple and Gaston. Of course the two of them are worried now that the king is dead, but I do believe I sensed a difference between the source of their worries? Like Rumple is anxious over Belle’s future, while Gaston is thinking of the big picture? And then the third. awwww! I love Belle getting along with Snow in alternate worlds. And it looks like the two of them are fighting ‘unwelcome’ attraction to commoners. Tsk. Bad princesses! Also, loved seeing Rumple through belle’s eyes. Especially the bit about his hair. Always glad to see that Belle admires the floof. *grins* THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Yay I’m so glad you liked it! Yup you have nailed how Rumple and Gaston were feeling. Gaston likes Belle, they were probably childhood friends, but they have grown apart and while Gaston cares for her, he cares for his duty more because he doesn’t really know Belle anymore. She’s the odd girl he remembers who loved books and wanted to be the knight not the damsel.

Yup Snow has fallen for the peasant shepherd David. Even if King Leopold granted his daughter permission to marry a commoner (which has happened in this world, as Prince Thomas married Ella) but it’s doubly complicated because David’s twin brother was taken by King George as his heir to Tiragarde. So Snow as the Northaeron heir (at least at this point in the timeline) can’t really marry David because that would draw attention to the fact that James isn’t actually George’s son.

That would throw Tiragarde’s monarchy into disrepute and maybe even lead to civil war. Of course things change when Regina assassinates Leopold, and Snow takes the blame, but in the ‘staring’ ficlet, that hadn’t happened yet. I haven’t forgotten your other three prompts and I will do them asap 🙂

I’ve seen you mention Fluffapolooza a couple times recently, and I know it’s supposed to be on Feb 12th. But do you know for sure if it’s happening? You said the blog was inactive, so is anyone actually running it?

woodelf68:

It doesn’t matter if it’s inactive or not – it would be a lot more fun if someone was promoting it and reblogging our stuff and so on, but that doesn’t have to stop us from posting as much fluff as possible, and tagging it fluffapalooza, and keeping up the tradition. THIS IS THE HIGH HOLY DAY OF RUMBELLE FANDOM. IN THESE TIMES ESPECIALLY WE MUST PAY HOMAGE TO THE MAGICAL COUPLE THAT WAS CREATED IN SKIN DEEP. People that aren’t writers or artists or graphics makers can send fluffy prompts, or simply spread good feelings through asks of the sort that say ‘I’m glad you’re here’ or ‘Have a hug and pass it on’.

The only thing I wish, is that it was easier to spell. I keep getting the A’s and O’s in the wrong place heh 🙂

I was going to do a prompt-a-thon thing where people could sent the most angst-filled prompts they could imagine, and I would turn them fluffy, but I posted it and crickets which was kind of embarrassing. So I gave up on that idea and instead I’m going to post the final chapter of Counting Stars. It has a rumbelle dance in it, with bonus swanfire, and it’s very fluffy.

I wanted to do some art for a rumbelle dance, as a companion to the scene I wrote, but my graphics skills aren’t really up to it unfortunately. I wish I could plug my brain into the PC, because the image is up there, it just won’t go on the screen heh 🙂

Under My Skin Lachlan: So, what’s the game plan now? Do you intend to seriously pursue Belle?

I don’t bloody know. I thought we were having a good time, I make my move and she storms out. Her loss right? Plenty more fish in the sea and all that. Though when I woke up I did remember her saying she really liked me *smirks* so maybe it’s worth another punt. Anyway, Belle’s just offered to drive me to LA. Several hours alone together in the truck should move things along.

Do you ever see something, like I don’t know a gifset or fanart or something, and just go “wow, whoever made that has talent!” but then not know what to do because it’s for something you don’t ship in the slightest. I mean, is liking it wrong when you don’t ‘like’ the subject? It feels kinda wrong, but at the same time it feels even more wrong just to scroll past the art.

Why is there not a button for “I don’t ship this, but the creator is mega talented and deserves all the props in the world?” That would be helpful.

I tried out a couple of different shows on netflix last night. One of them was called Travelers, it was created by Brad Wright (creator of Stargate SG1) so I thought it would be good. It was alright, I’m not sold on it yet. There’s a dynamic that I hope that they will investigate further, and not just brush under the rug as being ‘too tough’ to deal with.

As always I got to thinking how it could be Rumbelled because apparently my brain is hardwired to do that. *rolls eyes at self*

To summarize the show. Something bad happened in the future, and time travelers have been sent back to change the shape of history. How do they do that? Well basically somebody was destined to die but before they do, this traveler from the future takes over their body but it doesn’t stop there. They take over their life as well, they step into their shoes and wear their skin but they aren’t them. The person they’ve taken over is dead and gone, and nobody that cares about them knows that.

I mean the travelers didn’t kill their ‘hosts’ for lack of a better term, but there’s still ethical considerations. Those people are dead but nobody knows to mourn them. I find that quite sad. Imagine learning that the person you loved, is no longer that person, it’s somebody else inhabiting their body. “Well where’s person X?” “They are gone.” but the friends/family still have to look at them, and it seems like they are there but they aren’t. The fact that the travelers perpetuate the deception, by pretending to be the people whose bodies they are controlling, just makes it worse.

Anyway, I do have a point besides the ethical dilemma. These travelers are aided in taking over these strangers lives, by whatever was left of public records and social media profiles. There’s still so much they don’t know. For example in the episode I watched last night, this traveler went home to his ‘hosts’ wife and called her by her name, only to learn that his host never called her that, but always a nickname.

So if this was Rumbelled, imagine Gold is unhappily married. In public he’s Mr Gold, rich and ruthless and powerful, but in private he’s constantly brow-beaten and called worthless etc. Then one day there’s an accident and his wife gets taken over by traveler Belle, who is doing her best to save the world and be a hero. She’s studied the available info on the Gold’s and to public appearances they are the perfect couple, she thinks that they are happy and so she’s nice and loving and very Belle like. Gold is confused and suspicious because it’s like night and day.

Then a couple of options come to mind:
– He follows her, assuming she’s up to something, but never guessing it’s what it is. He discovers her doing some secret agent type mission but there are protocols and Belle can’t explain, so she tries to lie but eventually truth will out.
– Belle’s team contained her boyfriend (this is a dynamic on the show actually) and he wants to continue their relationship, but Belle obviously has to spend a lot of time with Gold and winds up falling for him, even though he has no idea who she really is.
– Or Gold’s historical date of death was just a couple of months after his wifes and so Belle’s boyfriend was due to join her, by taking Gold over then, but by then Belle can’t bear the idea of Gold dying so she saves him. Belle’s boyfriend takes the next host and comes to find out what the hell went wrong.

I haven’t watched the show enough to determine what happens with the travelers in the end, whether it was a one-way trip or they can go back to the future etc. so I’m not sure how it would end. I don’t know if I’ll watch the rest of the show, it’s not really grabbed me. The concept is interesting enough but I don’t care about any of the characters, and it’s characters that keep me watching. I might give it another episode or two and see.

What is it with them cancelling shows on cliffhangers? It’s really annoying!

This could apply to lots of shows. SGU and Almost Human come to mind, but this post was inspired by the fact that I just finished Agent Carter. I think they should release at least a blog post detailing the conclusion even if they don’t film it, it’s only polite. The creator did that for Born and Bred when it was unexpectedly cancelled, what a stand-up guy.

I have a plan!

Step One: Finish off this chapter of Under My Skin to post today.
Step Two: Profit.
Step Three: There’s a step three?

No in all seriousness I have big plans but in the interests of being vaguely sensible I’m testing whether I can follow through with them first. Did I need to make this post to tell you nothing? No, but I love that GotG gif and couldn’t resist heh 🙂

Stay tuned, if you get fic later then you’re going to be getting a lot more fic! My writing willpower has gone on an unscheduled vacation *rubs hands together* here’s hoping that this will bring it home.

I’m going to say something kinda controversial here. I just saw that picture of Hook and it made me wonder. The theory I’ve read about the wish!realm is that it was created based on Emma’s subconscious, and on her reasoning/magic reasoning for what “might” have happened if Emma had never become the savior.

That’s why Bae was dead because she knew he was dead, but he still had to exist so Henry could. Henry was in the wish!realm because he’s really important to Emma. Well if Emma was true love with Hook and he is actually important to her, why was wish!world Hook not Emma’s consort? Or part of her life in any way? Why would wish!world Hook have aged? His motivation to stay on Neverland and to stay young was revenge against Rumple. He had to stay alive until he could find a way to ‘skin his crocodile’.

What possible logic could there be for Hook to grow old? I’m saying this in all seriousness knowing that the wish!realm makes no sense. People’s ages are all over the place. Granny is still around and doesn’t look like she’s aged a day, Robin hasn’t aged either etc. but obviously the world has had 28 years of aging more than reality. Basically though the conclusion that comes to mind is that Hook grew old, and isn’t in Emma’s life (unlike Henry) because subconsciously he isn’t actually that important to her so she didn’t dictate the wish!magic do anything for him.

Told you it was a little controversial.
