Why?: I’m very sorry anon but I tend to use this movie as an example where I’ve watched something and it’s “two hours of my life I’m not getting back.” Personally I thought it was a terrible movie. The way Jonathon Kent died was enough on it’s own but I also didn’t think the plot made sense, and it was unevenly paced. Basically not my cup of tea I suppose. Sorry!
I’ve got an anyelle prompt if anyone wants one. I’m been thinking about Shaun from Summer recently because he deserves something good in his life. Seriously I think I wrote in my review that Shaun really needs a Belle! Then when I couldn’t sleep I started wondering what would happen if he met Lacey instead?
Think about it. Shaun is adrift at the end of the movie. He’s looking out for Daniel (Daz’s son) but what else does he have? Daniel was quite worried about him so imagine Daniel dragging Shaun along on a night out at a club. Shaun feels totally out of place, and sort of perches at the bar, where he runs into Lacey who looks at him and decides he looks pretty good. Shaun is stunned and just follows when she drags him home.
Lacey would know the grim reality of life, and empathize with how shitty it can be, at the same time as injecting some fun back into Shaun’s life. Where Belle would want to talk feelings, Lacey would just laugh and probably make a dirty suggestion. Not that Lacey doesn’t feel things deeply (because she definitely does) but she guards her heart carefully. After they’d fallen into a pattern of spending time together, they could do soul searching in the dark in between rounds one and two. Nothing heavy that would scare either of them but enough that something real could develop between them over time.
So yeah not much of a prompt I guess. It’s kinda “what would happen if Shaun met Lacey in a club?” but if anyone likes it then have at it 🙂

I know movie AU prompts are a bit unpopular for this reason, but I figured the basic summary would be enough and so it might be alright. I really hope you didn’t feel obligated. My weekend is going alright so far. Well … I spent the afternoon (and evening) on my entry for this months Monthly Rumbelling prompt and while I was working the whole time, it doesn’t look like I accomplished much *glares at it* still I should have at least some of tomorrow to work on it some more.
So I’m doing research for an up coming story, and I’ve been messing around in google translate. Apparently the word for fairy in Scottish Gaelic is sìthiche. Blue why you so shady?!

Yes it is that time again. In July there is another session of Camp NaNo and just like in April I will be running a cabin! I know RCIJ has to be posted on the 23rd but for the first three weeks camp could be a boost if anyone wanted it.
For anyone that doesn’t know Camp NaNo is different from regular November NaNo in a couple of crucial ways:
You can set your own word count goal (I don’t think there’s a minimum value so set it as high or as low as you like)
They allow you to track time and pages, in addition to words. So you could write a screenplay, edit a story, plan a story, write poetry, whatever you want really.
They have these things called cabins
It is because of these cabins that I am making this post.
A dozen Rumbelle writers signed up for the April session, and I think it went well so let’s go again. The cabins are for 20 writers and they have like a messageboard thing allowing communication on the NaNo site. I’ve always found it’s easier to write knowing I’m among friends, rather than sitting alone banging my head against the keyboard. I’ve been doing Camp NaNo for years and it always sucks if the cabin is a ghost town so in my cabin:
I post daily facts everyday for inspiration purposes
I post a daily word count challenge
Time zones permitting I run word sprints
Generally I’ve found that so long as somebody’s talking, then the cabin picks up in activity anyway. So got a fanfic you want to finish? Doing RCIJ? Just wanting a boost in the writing stakes?
Camp NaNo is a lot more relaxed than regular NaNo, as I said above you can work on different kinds of writing, or different parts of the writing process, or even on lots of projects at once. Camp is really about just making progress on things, and getting stuff done in a supportive and friendly environment. So there’s no real barrier to joining in the fun 🙂
If you would like to join then sign up and/or create a project on the Camp NaNo site. Then reply/reblog/message me with your NaNo username and I will send you a cabin invite. You must create your project first or the invite won’t work. Any questions or anything let me know 🙂

Absolutely! It’s called Rumbelle Style because the advert for the cabin was aimed at the Rumbelle fandom. You can work on whatever project you like during the month! It doesn’t have to be inspired by Rumbelle at all. I just figured if we all had ‘liking Rumbelle’ as a common point of interest, it would make for a friendly cabin is all 🙂 So you are more than welcome to join!

That’s alright I haven’t had chance to start my RCIJ fic either, there’s still plenty of time. That sounds like a great way to get Bae/Neal involved! As a teenager there could be a lot of friction there, which Belle could soothe as only Belle can. Regarding Gold’s boss, I hadn’t really given it much thought. I suppose I’d given passing consideration to Regina because she’s a favorite of mine and it would be nice if she was involved somehow.
I don’t know how you feel about Regina, please don’t feel you have to try and include anyone you don’t like. I want you to enjoy writing this fic! Either Mal or Ursula sounds great! Personally I’ve always struggled to get a handle on Ursula as a character, I find Mal easier to write myself, but basically choose whomever you would like to write and think fits best, it’s all good with me 🙂 I’m happy with whatever honestly. Just have fun!

Finally Aurora ran out of combinations for Belle to try and she was allowed to get dressed in her own clothes. Belle checked her watch and her eyebrows shot up to her hairline. She’d been trying on clothes for three hours, no wonder the whole process had felt interminable.

Belle prowled round the table, taking care to look disinterested when her gaze hit the table. If Cora was paranoid about others cheating, perhaps to deflect attention from her own cheating ways, then the last thing Belle wanted was to fall under suspicion for that.

My stories stem from characters so I write anything and everything. Most of my stories have an element of romance in but the genre background varies wildly. Right now, I’m writing a mystery romance story. As for a Lachlan type character, well I don’t intentionally ever write anyone I know into my books, but sometimes things wind up in there anyway. Never say never.
