Synopsis: Monster, deriving from Latin, meaning ‘to demonstrate’ or ‘to warn’. They reveal, make evident, often uncomfortably so and thus was the case with Helena George Wells.

Notes: Look I finally wrote a thing for fanfic fridays! *dance* not anything on the list but hey words are words right? 🙂

So after watching the season 2 finale I was driven to put pen to paper before starting season 3. I’m spoiler free so I have no idea how accurate this is, I just had to write it down. Anyway, enjoy! 🙂

End Note: I may do another because Myka talking Helena down the way she did *slow whistle* I may have to ship them. Could that have screamed lovers anymore than it did? Made me look back and think “hmm is that one of Myka’s shirts HG is wearing?” Or “that smirk means something” but I digress. I really can’t wait to find out what happens next. The one thing I ‘do’ know is that HG returns as I googled screaming as I didn’t want to say goodbye. I love her.

Yeah I lied a ‘little’ bit about the shutting up.

I NEED fic about how Myka didn’t really quit because she’d be “second guessing herself forever” and instead quit because she knew that if she had to do it over, she’d do it the same.

The old I can’t trust myself because I can’t stop trusting you trope.

/sigh

I think I’m going to go back and watch the Tomb Raider bit again. When they are both sliding across the grappler line – give me all the AU’s, all of them!

Ahhhhhh I did not see that coming

I’ve been looking for an appropriate gif but I can’t find one. It’s a long the lines of “oh no you didn’t” and “I tip my hat to you, that was well played, you won this round” and a big dollop of “I wanna know WHY”

Anyway I’m sorry I’ll stop this pseudo-liveblog, I’m just *jaw drop* agog at how awesomely amazing HG Wells is.

Is it wrong that I love her even more now she’s confirmed she’s a grey maybe-villain/definitely on her own side/can’t exactly be trusted but damn she’s good kind of person?

I love characters who have their own agendas and do things that make me scream GAH NO even though we then have to go through the whole “I knew she couldn’t be trusted” “I can’t trust her” thing all over again.

Fascinating. Tell me more.

If I didn’t understand why HG/Myka had by far the most fics on AO3 for Warehouse 13 I do now.

I was really looking forward to Jaime Murray’s introduction on Warehouse 13 and she hasn’t disappointed.

Can I resist googling? No I can not.

15 episodes? 15! 🙁 what a shame as there are 52 episodes left of the show.

I swear Jaime Murray is like, ugh I can’t think of the word, it’s been said about Robert Carlyle, how they used Rumple sparingly as somehow they thought less was more?

Less is never more.

More is more and there should always be more of the good stuff.

But seriously this character of HG Wells is inspired. In terms of the show up until now my favourite character was probably Claudia, followed by Mrs Frederick, then maybe Artie.

Pete is too much of an immature frat boy, who I don’t buy as a secret service agent to be honest, and Bering comes across weak. I know I shouldn’t say that but it feels like she mostly screams “Pete!” and does very little ass-kicking. I don’t dislike them so much as I just don’t find them at all compelling. I know they are the main characters but this would hardly be the first show where the supporting cast were the best bit (Alias I am looking at you).

Plus clearly I have a thing for the “artifact collecting trope”. I really like the National Treasure movies despite the fact that I generally can’t stand Nicholas Cage, The Librarians is currently one of my favourite things ever, and now this.

I really hope there is awesome HG Wells fanfic otherwise I’m going to get plot bunnies and as the old writing machine is a little broken, that is not a good thing.

I’m watching Warehouse 13. It has been on my list for a really long time but the similarity to the Librarians convinced me to go for it.

The really funny thing is how excited they were at “two-way video communication”

I guess this show pre-dates the iPhone *sniggers*
