Bit random but I was thinking about this earlier. Has anyone got an exhaustive list of Rumbelle permutations? I decided to try and write one but I’m a bit paranoid I’m going to forget something. So I’m going to post this and then if I have missed something, please chime in and add it 🙂
Actually, thinking about it, a table would make more sense than a list. Make it like a bingo card.

I’m writing a “we are both” Rumple Gold version for Disrupted right now. Dunno who else has done this, but I doubt I’m alone. This is a great idea, btw.
Great idea, but I’m a bit confused. Aren’t “Anyelle” and “Anyem” already combinations? Are you talking about pairing threeing them up with another Bobby character or another Em character?
Some people do combinations. I’m not really familiar with anyem but I’ve heard about Hiero and Ives. I was just going to say that I didn’t blank out any boxes, even though some combinations wouldn’t work e.g. anyelle and cursed!Belle. However, then I remembered @emospritelet wonderful fic The Stranger. So I’m guessing almost anything is possible.
What’s the most ridiculous false rumor that has been spread about you?
I joined my wife’s workplace about 12 months after she joined. When we worked together (same department, same roles), we’d keep mostly away from each other so not to crowd each other. When we’d take breaks, we’d be hanging out together. You know, normal stuff. Thing is, no one picked up on the fact that we were husband and wife. They knew she was married, and that I was married – but not to each other. Someone saw us holding hands on the walk back to our car after work, someone else saw us kiss when I dropped her in to work when I had the day off, and rumours started flying around that we were cheating on our significant others. People took it upon themselves to ‘intervene’ and approached me to tell me she was married and that I should be ashamed of myself. Someone else made a comment to her that she should be more discreet if she was going to continue on her relationship with me. Truth be told, we both found it pretty fucking funny. Didn’t get a chance to run with it, because we were so taken aback by it when it was brought up to us individually, that we just blurted out the truth on the spot.
Only, you know Rumple. He doesn’t offer information he doesn’t feel people need to know. I want to see people try to fingerwag him while he keeps the punchline to himself!
And Belle is so sweet that no one can believe she’s doing something like this to her husband. People start to talk; she notices. She feels hurt and doesn’t know why everyone is treating her like a pariah. This “slut” (I only use that because I know how people are, and they would) might be after their husbands, next!
I guess it’d have to be AU and set in someplace larger than Storybrooke, because otherwise everyone would know he and Belle were married. NYC?

I’m tempted but if I wrote this it would probably be as Rushbelle. I have a similar scenario plotted already for my main Rushbelle WIP. Which goes along the lines of “Rush is married? Who the hell would marry him?!?” and then a deadpan blank face – “I would actually.” and then *jaw drops* because Belle + Rush does not compute for people that have never seen them together.
Although straight Rumbelle would be quite amusing as well. Oooh, oooh suggestion! Somebody should submit this as a prompt to @a-monthly-rumbelling because think of all the different versions we’d get to read then! Somebody go do that!
I need another WIP like I need a hole in my head but I’m never going to finish this fic for Rumbelle Revolution tonight. I’m going to have to post it in parts and as my writing willpower has completely disappeared *laughs hysterically* I have absolutely no idea when I’ll finish it. I’ll be lucky at this rate if I finish part one for tonight. It might just be a short part one. I wrote the first scene yesterday, but I’ve written barely 300 words all afternoon.
However, plot bunny for somebody. I was parking the car earlier and saw two people painting a fence. One was painting one side, the other person was painting the other side. I quite sensibly said it was the couple that owned one of the houses, especially as they were painting it the same color, but then it occurred to me what if they were neighbors?
So Belle moves into the house next to Gold. He’s preparing for war, especially as she is big on home/garden improvement. However, all his zinging comments just evaporate when she smiles at him. He grumbles about her, but finds himself painting the fence anyway, or giving her a lift to the hardware store, or helping her measure up for new shelving etc.

I don’t think Chip made the return from Underbrooke, though, unless Rumple pocketed him before swaggering his way to the portal
I have a theory about that cup.
It smashed right when their relationship appeared to shatter, as not long after Rumple smashed it get away from Merida/Emma was that well scene. Then when their relationship was on the mend and they were being honest with one another in the underworld – it reappeared.
I think maybe that cup isn’t just a talisman for their relationship but a reflection of it as well. Like Belle smashed it when Rumple tried and failed to TLK her to get her memories back. However, it was whole again when he put the tonic in it to wake her up from being just Lacey.
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I think perhaps when we see the cup again, it will be at a key moment – perhaps a turning point for them.
I think I’m the only one and I’m sad because I have no one to share my excitement with. It’s going to be hard to be on Tumblr when even the more optimistic fans are not hopeful….
I’m excited and optimistic about the entire show. Yes, season five was … disappointing but I still love this show. It might not always give me the canon I would like but it gives me a window into the world of the characters I love.
No matter what happens I get to watch these characters brought to life and the storylines are incredible. The storylines aren’t always happy, and I sometimes have to do mental gymnastics to create headcanon to make the characterization make sense, but they are no less incredible because of that.
I have no idea what season six will hold. I don’t know whether Rumbelle will get any happy moments, or if it will just be angst. To be honest I don’t mind because either way it’s a storyline. When I think of other shows I like, my favorite characters and relationships on those shows get nowhere near the variety of storylines that Rumbelle gets.
Yeah I would kill for more screentime for my favorites but then if I had my way each episode would be at least 3x as long. It’s not even like I want to cut any of what is already there, I don’t begrudge other characters their time in the sun.
I don’t know whether season 6 will be the last season or not. I remain hopeful that by the time the show ends Rumbelle will have their ‘happy ending’. If that isn’t the case then I will be very sad but I don’t believe in borrowing trouble. I will worry about that at the time and not before.
I’m UK based so I can’t watch live. However, we get the show on netflix! Last season that meant I could watch just 3 days after the US (can’t do that with any other US show I like) and so I will be watching the day it gets added to netflix, which was Wednesday’s last year. It’s a standing commitment, can’t do anything else on Wednesday nights 🙂
Rumple and Belle as sorcerers who accidentally meet over cauldron communication.

Why doesn’t somebody use it for this months @a-monthly-rumbelling “wrong phone number” prompt? Like Rumple was trying to dial the cauldron for Regina (or authors choice) and he got one of the symbols upsidedown and wound up calling the cauldron in the next kingdom over – Belle’s.
I’m rewatching Hustle and Leverage for the … I don’t know gazillionth time. It made me think.
AU Gold is rich, the terror of Storybrooke or a bigger city like New York. On the surface he is the perfect mark for Belle French and her team (writers choice of characters). However, once Belle starts working the inside she learns who the real Gold is and falls in love with him. Only trouble is he thinks she is Lacey, a (writers choice of con) and is eager to invest in the scam. How does she tell him who she is and that he was her mark?
If Belle tells him then he reacts badly and she could go to prison. If she doesn’t tell him then they can never be together, even if she successfully manages to freeze him out of the con, he’ll never really know her.
Belle’s head tilted, studying him uncertainly as he sipped at his tea. There were two other maids besides herself for the estate, and he used but six rooms of it. The rest were kept closed, the furniture covered in white sheets. Only the door at the end of the hall was locked. No one was permitted inside, and he kept the key on his person at all times. She set the teapot down and summoned up all her bravery.
“Why did you want me here, Mr. Gold?”
His smile was crooked, his eyes almost mirthful as he gazed at her over the rim of the tea cup. “The place was filthy.”
This brought to mind a Jonathon Creek episode. Well, the visuals anyway, not the actual plot so much. There was this writer who’d locked himself away in his estate after he lost the only person he loved. Gah, honestly how do you come up with these and where do you find all the awesome pictures?
I have major feels. Like the room at the end could be Bae’s room, left like a shrine. Slowly, just as in canon, Belle works her way into Gold’s heart and lets the light back into his house and his heart, bringing him to life and teaching him to smile again.
