I think I’m the only one and I’m sad because I have no one to share my excitement with. It’s going to be hard to be on Tumblr when even the more optimistic fans are not hopeful….
I’m excited and optimistic about the entire show. Yes, season five was … disappointing but I still love this show. It might not always give me the canon I would like but it gives me a window into the world of the characters I love.
No matter what happens I get to watch these characters brought to life and the storylines are incredible. The storylines aren’t always happy, and I sometimes have to do mental gymnastics to create headcanon to make the characterization make sense, but they are no less incredible because of that.
I have no idea what season six will hold. I don’t know whether Rumbelle will get any happy moments, or if it will just be angst. To be honest I don’t mind because either way it’s a storyline. When I think of other shows I like, my favorite characters and relationships on those shows get nowhere near the variety of storylines that Rumbelle gets.
Yeah I would kill for more screentime for my favorites but then if I had my way each episode would be at least 3x as long. It’s not even like I want to cut any of what is already there, I don’t begrudge other characters their time in the sun.
I don’t know whether season 6 will be the last season or not. I remain hopeful that by the time the show ends Rumbelle will have their ‘happy ending’. If that isn’t the case then I will be very sad but I don’t believe in borrowing trouble. I will worry about that at the time and not before.
I’m UK based so I can’t watch live. However, we get the show on netflix! Last season that meant I could watch just 3 days after the US (can’t do that with any other US show I like) and so I will be watching the day it gets added to netflix, which was Wednesday’s last year. It’s a standing commitment, can’t do anything else on Wednesday nights 🙂
So yeah, I can’t wait for season six!
