AU Gold is rich, the terror of Storybrooke or a bigger city like New York. On the surface he is the perfect mark for Belle French and her team (writers choice of characters). However, once Belle starts working the inside she learns who the real Gold is and falls in love with him. Only trouble is he thinks she is Lacey, a (writers choice of con) and is eager to invest in the scam. How does she tell him who she is and that he was her mark?

If Belle tells him then he reacts badly and she could go to prison. If she doesn’t tell him then they can never be together, even if she successfully manages to freeze him out of the con, he’ll never really know her.

How can they get their happy ending?
