I am mega excited about this guys!
It’s no secret that I’ve been the absolute worst when it comes to reading fics. #excuses #excuses *hides in box of shame* I tried downloading them to my kindle but that didn’t work and there were three reasons for that. 1) was #excuse but
2) it was an extra device to remember to charge, put in my bag etc.
3) it was a multi-step process to side-load them onto the paperwhite
Now neither of these should have had an impact but it’s the little things right? It doesn’t take much to roadblock us – or, well, me anyway *rolls eyes at self*
BUT BUT HERE’S THE TIP
It’s called Pocket – a free app, that SAVES FICS OFFLINE with ONE BUTTON
ONE BUTTON SAVING
Just click share and boom it’s there.
It works with Tumblr and AO3 straight out the box. Far more importantly though is the REFRESH command. With multi-chaptered fics on AO3 simply add the “entire work” link to Pocket and then when they update, you update – no mess, no fuss, chapter is ready to go.
Honestly having to redownload, then side-load, new chapters was the biggest stumbling block to me putting fics on my kindle.
Now you all might be reading this going “wow! She’s late to the party!” Because you all know about this already but I didn’t so I’m sharing in case anyone else is in that boat.
Especially with all the bounty of fics that RCIJ just brought!

Honestly over 30 in England with no AC, the air as still as a … very still thing and high humidity, it’s just too much.
I know it’s much hotter other places but I can moan if I want. It’s going to be like this and worse all week apparently.

I won’t be able to get hold of season 4 to watch it probably until next March/April time and I don’t want to be completely spoiled.
Honestly for the millionth time – in the days of the internet why is there such a time lag in distributing media around the world?!?! It’s not like they have to load reels of film onto steam ships or anything.
Everything in the world should be on netflix, they put things up just a couple of days later, now that’s a time lag I can accept!
WTF Tumblr. I often like posts and add them to my drafts, then tag them on the PC and add them to the queue. Today I’m getting the message:
“This post was created in the tumblr app and can’t be edited on the web at this time. Please use the official tumblr app.”

In light of SDCC just a reminder of where I stand
They can try and bait me all they like but I’m not returning until it is on screen and confirmed. They tore my trust to shreds in season one. Once bitten, twice shy and all that.
I will go down with this ship.
I can’t sleep so here is today’s Agent of Shield thought.
Even though Talbot got overwhelmed and twisted up I still think the Steve Rogers comparison is good because it’s about intent.
The previous examples – Red Skull and Ruby – had gone wrong but both Talbot and Steve still had the courage to climb in that machine, not knowing what they would become. They just wanted to help people.
There are two episodes left of season five but channel 4 isn’t airing the finale until Sunday, so I’ll probably watch both of them Monday night.
Honestly even though I just didn’t watch because I was tired, stockpiling episodes was a very good decision. Waiting a whole week or more in between each one would have sucked.

I need a Talbot / Steve Rogers comparison gifset marked General / Captain because that was all I could think about when Talbot was in the chamber.

I think I have 3 more episodes to watch of season five and then it’s a long old wait until next summer.
Time to resume my rewatch. I got to the framework in season four, so nearly finished what I can access (can’t rewatch season five right now) and then guess what?

There’s this person on my Facebook who posts at the end of the day three positive things that happened.
I’ve been thinking about doing something like that for a while because I really need it but a) I get easily embarrassed/am private and b) I don’t want to be annoying.
