Sorry I‘m obviously not done rambling.

I find it interesting the different take on the Superman mythology that I’m getting. For instance this “solar flare” burning out of powers thing – that never happened on Lois and Clark, not without prolonged kryptonite exposure anyway.

Also watching this is like six degrees of separation. Oooh there’s Piper from Agents of Shield. Oh that’s D’avin from Killjoys etc. Always funny when that happens.

James Olsen is such a good friend. There for Kara during her crisis of confidence. Also I really can’t believe Cat Grant is the inspiring voice, so weird after Lois and Clark, but then I guess it’s a different take like James Olsen. It makes this show stand on its own.

Although the one thing this show does have in common is how do they fit the capes under their clothes? It clearly doesn’t fit. Also how do they change back into civvies somewhere else because they aren’t carrying them?

Hmm I might have to take back what I said about Win as that comment about Kara’s romantic future was mean. It felt like it was to do with his own disappointment and he was lashing out because he liked Kara before he knew about her powers and now feels like he has no chance.

To get back to the costume James was like three floors up when he fell. Why didn’t Kara just grab him as he passed? Why fly out, change and fly back down again? That is just so extra.

OMG I did not see that coming as the explanation for Hank’s red eyes. His true form was unexpected. I had thought maybe he’d had a reaction to the kryptonite when he used it on Astra and that his red eyes were indicating he was under the influence of red kryptonite and kinda evil so I was way off base.

This show keeps surprising me.

Still watching Supergirl.

General Lane is a bigoted arse. I feel sorry for Lois and Lucy.

Never have I ever been more grateful for spoilers because I was getting really bad vibes from Maxwell Lord putting the moves on Alex. If that had been a thing I might have quit watching. Far too many shows actually put out pairings like that and I am tired of it. So glad she’s gay.

I headcanon that Cat Grant totally knows Kara is Supergirl and has since almost day one. Explains why she didn’t fire her for losing Carter – Supergirl was there. Explains why her advice is always so timely etc.

I still really like James Olsen. He IS special because of how kind and supportive he is. Being a genuine friend is pretty rare in life sadly. However Win is growing on me. And while I am not very keen on the ‘wish fulfillment’ pairing (tired of that too). He is a supportive good friend and as he has never expressed his feelings I do believe it’s genuine and not just out of hope for something more. Anyway I am not shipping anything, just saying what I see.

I am getting a bit fed up with everyone blaming Supergirl for stuff all the time though. I actually liked it when Kara snapped back at Cat Grant because about time at least one unfair thing was called out. Although yeah time and place, not really a good idea to snap at your boss (see above as to why I reckon she wasn’t fired).

Watching Supergirl because I have no self control whatsoever today. I’m only on episode 2 but so far I like it.

I don’t know if it’s just James Olsen’s natural charm and chemistry or if I do actually ship Kara/James. Honestly the man oozes warmth and comfort and stability.

Plus I watched Lois and Clark back in the day and I remember Cat Grant back then hehe. I also remember the old Jimmy Olsen (that actor played him totally different). All the name-dropping is cool. I hope there will be more of it or even dare I hope cameos? Oh and I like the scenes on Krypton. Always wondered about that and it’s nice to see more.

I know this is part of the Arrowverse. I tried Arrow and didn’t like it. I tried Legends of Tomorrow and they killed off one my faves in the opening episodes so /shrug. I do like Black Lightning (though that is not technically part of it) and I haven’t tried the Flash yet.

Haha omg I super love how Alex just took down that alien (yeah I’m still watching). Generally I’ve always preferred marvel to DC but I take things as I find them. The only marvel TV I like is Agents of Shield, well since X-Men: Evolution anyway :p

So yeah that’s been my evening.

The lip-syncing is terrible, almost as bad as the dancing /sniggers.

Still this is actually quite entertaining. The characters are more dimensional than I thought they would be and I really like the tourney game that looks like a cross between shield drills, lacrosse and American football. Oh and the castle/manor looks cool, especially with all the emblems and coats of arms.

I keep wanting to say Mal is the best character but really they do all have their journey. Jay experienced the feeling of belonging for the first time. Carlos confronted his fears. Evie gained confidence in herself that she could be smart as well as the much lauded pretty that she had been taught to admire. The son of Prince Charming was the “biggest jerk” and the fact that up until now they never gave the descendants a chance meant good was shown to have its own dark side.

Plus I watched this initially for the soundtrack so that’s good.

And oooooooh I’m kinda live blogging and ok Prince Ben is awesome with the reveal that he knew and he still likes her.

Oh wow check out that stained glass window of BatB. I still feel gross that shady Blue is playing Belle but all the yellow and blue looks good rather than silly. I commend the set people.

And awwwww this ending I should have seen coming and didn’t. I hope that changed some hearts and minds before Maleficent showed up. I think calling it an ending was premature. Seriously she brings new levels to chewing the scenery.

It’s a bit hammy but at its core – not rotten :p

Would recommend.

Decided to watch Disney’s Descendants movie because the soundtrack is good and oh man I’m 10 minutes in and this is a trip.

Blue – shady Blue! – is playing Belle ick

The Evil Queen is played by the same actress as Sister Mary Patrick (the really happy nun from Sister Act).

It’s obviously part musical which I hadn’t quite realised but ok.

I have a feeling this is going to be part weird and part hilarious.

I reckon my first draft pick would be:

Phil Coulson (Agents of Shield) for history and a side order of diplomacy.

Tony Stark (who needs no introduction) for science and problem-solving.

Jenkins aka Galahad aka the worlds oldest soldier (The Librarians) for warfare and diplomacy.

Two (Dark Matter) which I can get away with because they DID time travel to our time 😛for kicking butt and flying planes, or you know spaceships hehe

*sighs* ahh I feel safer already 🙂

Edit: because I just made myself laugh at listing Two as the pilot – that’s like saying “Melinda May is just the pilot” 😂

You know I’ve decided Disney should totally make an animated series ala The Clone Wars about Elizabeth Swann the Pirate King and all her swashbuckling adventures.

I don’t know, I just woke up this morning with a mighty need.

I wish I could plug my brain into the TV and watch the version of shows that live in my brain. They are so much more my thing that when I return to the real thing it sometimes disappoints.

Plus I have this epic Star Trek/Stargate with a dash of Killjoys flavour going on which I would kill to watch. I mean I’m sorry Killjoys but the “take no sides, take no bribes” thing is just too cool not to use.
