Random but does anyone’s queue sometimes miss posting and then get out of sync? That’s why I double posted this morning because I’d noticed that overnight it had gone wrong.

Anyway, it’s Saturday and I’m going to try and write all the words! I’ve felt really exhausted last couple of days and my hard won buffer from the start of the month has dwindled to nothing. I should be writing my book but like I said in yesterday’s pep talk, I can tell when I’ve reached ‘that’ part of it and yup I’m there. Once I hit around 20k I always lose my oomph.

Taking a day off won’t help, I just need to push through but I’m going to take the day anyway. So today I’m going to see if I can conquer my fourth Order in the Court fic. I only wrote 273 words yesterday, which was snippets from three scenes because that’s how done my brain was. Let’s see if I can make sense of it today and pull this story together.

Ugh tumblr’s mobile app has always been pretty horrendous. However, it had one redeeming feature. It alphabetically sorted the blogs I follow so I could very easily manually scroll my favorite blogs. Which was helpful because for some reason putting certain blogs into the tumblr search bar on the PC doesn’t work, so I need to find their name to click on elsewhere. Just looking on my phone for those couple of blogs was actually easier.

Then … THEN tumblr decided this was clearly too good and so removed that feature in the recent update. Why? Just why? So this morning I’m looking on the app, I see a mutual pop up in my feed and decide to look at their whole blog. Big, big mistake. I have no idea if they will have been spammed with “still-searching47 is now following you” as I clicked and unfollowed (seriously why put that link there??? it’s right next to their name!) and then panic followed with frantic tapping.

I have to say stupid o’clock or not, it made me instantly get out of bed to boot the PC, so I could triple check I’m still following them because stupid mobile app! Honestly I just wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed any of their posts. Why tumblr, just why?

I have such a love/hate thing going on with tumblr’s ‘insert gif’ feature. On one hand I love it because it means I can easily give credit when I use a gif. I don’t think I would use gifs very much at all if I couldn’t do that. On the other hand finding what I want is an exercise in frustration!

I put in search terms and what I want doesn’t appear. So I use tumblrs main search or sometimes google, to find a gifset that has what I want and then I search via the tags. I just did that now for a gifset I can see on my dash. It was a reblog so I went to the original post and looked at the tags, I then searched in the gif searcher thing, using those tags and nothing!

Half a dozen results came up, so it wasn’t like the search had reached it’s capacity or anything. I know only the first gif of a gifset appears in that searcher thing, I found a way round that ages ago. Those gifs jut weren’t in the gif searcher. Talk about frustrating! Why is it like that?

Tumblr question. If you are tracking a tag, is there anyway to stop posts from that tracked tag from repeating themselves over and over on the dash? It’s like every half dozen posts, there’s the one from the tracked tag. I’m sure that can’t be working as intended.

I wish there was a ‘like’ button for privately answered asks. I want them to know I saw it, but I don’t have anything else to say but thank you. Now I face the eternal dilemma of “do I send a second ask just saying thank you or just leave it?” honestly tumblr etiquette is hard.

I treat it like email and always send that last “Thanks!” perfunctory message and fully expect that they will see it and delete it. But it lets them know that yes I got the message and I’m appreciative.

Yeah I’ve been doing that. I just had a “I don’t want to be annoying” moment. Anyway, now I know it’s not just me that does that, I will go and say thanks! Thank you 🙂

Ok I’ve resisted asking but this is getting on my nerves now. Is anyone else having trouble with tumblr not loading gifs/images properly? Half the posts are just white space the same size as the picture. A lot of gifs are frozen rather than in motion, and the page is like it’s constantly trying to load. It’s beginning to drive me mad.

Tumblr needs a *hugs* button, or a ‘I see this post, don’t feel ignored or unheard’, or a ‘I don’t know what to say but I support you 100%’ button for when a ‘like’ just doesn’t seem appropriate.

#i have thought this several times today#it just feels so weird to hit like on these things

If anyone ever doubts how important Baelfire/Neal is, or that he still has fans well … on my blog the most notes I ever had was 18. My post about how important Neal was, got over 100 within 24 hours. Now I know that’s only a microcosm but I was fairly impressed.

I love Neal and I’m glad a lot of other people still do 🙂 I only wish he could be brought back.

Why is tumblr so dead lately?

I feel like I’m the only one here right now. Hello? Anyone hear me? It’s been like this for days.

Hi Raven!!!

I haven’t noticed, but then I purposely keep my dash relatively clean. Maybe people are on holiday? It could also be that the Rumbelle fandom has severely diminished…….or that many want to avoid spoilers?

Hi Raven. I guess people are busy or away.

It has been strangely quiet lately…

It takes me at least half an hour to scroll through my dash in the morning and catch up on what happened when I was sleeping. If this is dead then I’m going to have give up doing that when it revives.

I’m here and I’ve been posting consistently but I’ve only been on tumblr two months. Plus I only post when I’m awake which is probably when America is asleep or at work. I did try and set up a queue but it won’t let me adjust the times to when I am sleeping. So yeah I’m not helpful at all 🙂

#if this is tumblr dead I’m slightly scared
