This is so not my kind of movie, yet whenever I’m not feeling well, or I’m upset I watch it. I’m practically word perfect now I’ve seen it that many times.
2) The Avengers/Marvel Movies
I know, bit of a cheat listing the franchise, but there’s always one of them I fancy watching. I was going to just say the first Avengers movie, but I had to stop it yesterday and take a nap halfway through, so I felt maybe that disqualified it. I was having a duvet day, I didn’t feel well.
3) Fool’s Gold
Ok gifsearch didn’t kick back an actual gif of the movie, but there is this amazing yacht in it and they go treasure hunting. It’s very shiny and did I mention the boat?
4) Star Trek
Again cheating slightly because three movies fall under that umbrella, quite frankly I wish there were more. I do like movies, but they are so limited. Once I’ve watched a movie half a dozen times or more, that’s it – that’s all there is. Whereas with TV, there’s usually loads more episodes, so there’s more to rewatch and it has greater scope.
I’m stuck
Like I just said, I prefer TV to movies generally, so while there are a lot of movies I enjoy and love, picking “6 to watch anytime” is a bit difficult. For the most part while I like them, I have to be in the mood for them. So I could list National Treasure, Fast and the Furious etc. but they are just movies I like, not ones I could probably sit down and watch no matter what.
I’m really starting to wish I’d asked if I could post my Revelry fic on Tuesday so I wouldn’t have to have something else finished to post. The fic I was going to post I decided really needed looking over by someone else. There isn’t time for me to finish it and beg politely for help, so I need to write something else.
I think even though it’s early and might not be allowed, I’m going to have to post a monthly rumbelling fic. I sent in a question asking whether it was allowed to post before the end of the month or not and I really hope the answer is yes. It is the one fic I have on my list that I stand a chance of finishing for Tuesday.
You know that panic that I said in my last post hadn’t set in yet? Yeah I think it just kicked in. I am soooo not ready for the end of the month urk.

Proposal: Kitsowitz and all writers leave the show. You are now in charge. How do you fix the show?
I mean all of it. Bring back the audience. Don’t just wish fulfill your OTP, design a show that will be popular and ongoing.
I explored a little bit of this in my alternate seasons six fanfic. Ultimately it comes down to three things in my opinion – consequences, continuity and expectations.
I wasn’t going to write today (see previous post for my epic levels of procrastination) but then I suddenly realized I don’t have anything to post on Tuesday and panicked. I must post fic of some description on Tuesdays, it’s a thing heh 🙂
Anyway, a fic that has been lingering for months (I know eeek) is now mostly finished. I just need to write an argument (I suck at those so right now it’s just INSERT ARGUMENT), finish alternate ending one, and then write alternate ending two. I don’t usually do alternate endings but this fic needed the option. You’ll understand why when I post it.
I had … a lot of things on my list for October *whistles* but a few days ago I went over the list and made it slightly more reasonable. I now have 13 items on it, and I’ve done 8 of them. So I’m a bit behind, but not so badly behind that panic needs to set in just yet.

Today I am procrastinating so much, it is shocking. I have reached new levels of procrastination, it is quite bad.
Anyway, today my brain is looking at shiny gifsets on my dash and going … yeah that’s cool but you know that could be Rumbelled.

Must you Rumbelle everything brain? Like I saw this gifset of Vala Mal Doran (Stargate SG1) arriving at the SGC, and I wondered what it would be like if that was Lacey and then I was wondering who Gold would be in that scenario. He would probably take Daniel’s role, which then made me laugh imagining Gold and Lacey in Prometheus Unbound fighting and flirting with each other.
Also I just queued up a lot of Almost Human (I loved that show and I’ll forever be bitter it was cancelled – so much lost potential) and I shipped John Kennex/Valerie Stahl in that, and I was thinking that dynamic actually would work really well for Gold/Belle with Gold as the grumpy old-fashioned cop, and Belle as the chrome ignoring tradition to do what is right.
Seriously can somebody teach me how not to procrastinate? That would be great thank you 🙂
I’ve finished my Rumbelle is Hope drawing, well finished it to the best of my ability anyway. That’s a relief because I’m getting sick. Why can’t I get more than a few hours notice about when I’m going to be ill? Honestly my to do list is crazy long and I’m already feeling grotty. It’s likely just going to be a cold and so I shouldn’t grumble but it still sucks, it just saps all my energy.
Earlier I was writing some Rushbelle, I hoped to have it posted on Friday but that might not be happening. It’s going to be a long oneshot and I still have a lot to write. You know what the hardest part about writing Rushbelle is – the science babble. This is from what I was working on earlier:
“One last question Doctor Rush,” the
assistant organizer said soothingly, eyeing him warily.
“INSERT INTELLIGENT SOUNDING MATHS
QUESTION.”
“Well
… you see erm … the INSERT INTELLIGENT RESPONSE,” Rush stammered.
I did alright at maths in school but I only took it to GCSE, that would be probably junior high for the Americans? I was 16 anyway and that was a decade ago, so I’ve forgotten a lot and I never knew advanced stuff. Actually I take it back, the other really hard thing about writing Rushbelle is how snarky/insulting Rush is because I don’t know how to insult people’s intelligence, it’s not like I’ve ever had to do that.
I have five upcoming Rushbelle fics I think, that are in various stages of progress. So I hope that I find a way round these problems, or I’m going to have a lot of *insert something sensible* littered throughout the fic 🙂
I can supply your math needs… What kind of science is he working on? The maths might even make a little sense!

Heh I just found the advanced applied mathematics journal and yikes, I think I need a dictionary and that’s just for the titles. I have no idea what any of that means. You know I watched every episode of Numb3rs, I really liked that show but Charlie always did cute little analogies, rather than explaining what the squiggles on the board meant.
Basically I just want it to sound good. It’s not an attack on his work either, it’s just an intelligent question that shows she was paying attention. Although I do have another fic where she points out an error, I think I just made some vague statement about reversing the conditions there.
Anyway, sorry I’m not being helpful and you are being wonderful. I really don’t know what he would be working on. This is pre-stargate program, but it makes him look like a good recruit (spoiler alert, he gets recruited at the end of the fic) so something space related maybe?
Okay. Do you need actual equations or just technobabble? I’m sure they used lots of “Monte Carlo Method” while solving the gate puzzles. Also “frequency analysis”. “Polynomial methods” would not be helpful; but “Galois theory”, and “abstract algebra” would. You could have them argue about whether “field theory” or “group theory” would apply. I don’t think the Riemann Theorem would be helpful, but Wiles’ Proof of Fermat’s Theorem would be. And, of course, everyone is always talking about algorithms (usually about which one is better / more efficient / more elegant) and transformations.Particularly when things are getting laid across multiple dimensions. Hope this helps.

I’ve written a tantrum post and clicked “nevermind” at least a dozen times about my Rumbelle is Hope drawing. I can’t actually draw really and I have no confidence. I like it but I’m scared. There I said it. Anyway, it’s probably awful, but I think they are at least recognisable and it’s well intentioned.
You see, excuse me while I rant for a second, it’s the details that are driving me crazy. I just spent a ridiculous amount of time studying my hand holding a glove so I could work out how they were holding hands. Eyes, lips, ears etc. are all stupid hard for me. Today I tackled the hands, tomorrow I get to do the rest /groans heh 🙂
Have you seen the crap I put out on here and call fan art? You’ve got nothing to worry about. Really. Art is wonderful. We all want to see it and I’m certain we will enjoy it.

Your art is not crap! Sweet merlin it’s on a sketchpad, you’ve done that freehand with a pencil!!! That is just wow, I can’t even tell you how impressive that is. Seriously!
I have a graphics tablet and I cheat.
I did a really rough photo manip first to give me the base, then did a line drawing over it. I then deleted the photo and filled in the blanks.
I had to do the hands manually as the picture was too pixelated to see the detail but otherwise it’s tracing. Plus I can draw and redraw a 100x until I get it right and nobody knows because it’s digital and that leaves no evidence of mistakes behind. You are just wow!
