No, I donāt have anyone in mind. I mean, we know so little about Belleās mother that I donāt even want to hazard a guess.
I only asked the question b/c I was thinking about Maurice and his relationship to Belle due to the OUaT Positivity Project. Looking ahead, the prompt for Day 23 is āFatherā and Maurice has been such an awful father to Belle, that I was trying to figure out what I could say about him that would be positive. Which then made me wonder WHY heās so awful to her. I mean, what kind of father refuses to even try waking his child from a sleeping curse? And it occurred to me that if heās not her bio fatherāand has known all alongāthat would certainly help explain his behavior toward her. It could even explain the TLK refusalā¦.he wonāt try b/c he knows he doesnāt love Belle and a kiss from him wonāt work.
Thereās been some speculation (wishful thinking probably, but letās go with it for the moment) that Belleās mother is still alive and sheāll see her again in S6. If OUaT does bring Colette back, itād make for a very interesting storyline for Belle to not only be reunited with her mother, but find out the truth about her fatherāif thereās a hidden truth to be told.
Some fathers are like that though. They are selfish, they want what they want. Some care in their own way but others donāt even care that much. Fathers can be biological or not. Itās not genetics that make someone a good father. So Maurice can be biological and be the way he is. I think Maurice does love Belle, but he loves a version of her that doesnāt exist – his ideal version.
I donāt think he accepts her for who she is, nor supports her choices. He thinks that he knows best. I daresay that if confronted about āwhy wouldnāt you wake her?ā he would be genuinely confused as to what he had done wrong. In his mind he would be doing Belle a service in his ultimatum. He would think that made him a good father, because was looking out for her best interests. However, what he thinks is best for her, probably isnāt what Belle would think is best.
To be honest I donāt know what you could say about Maurice that was favorable either. Unless it was a backhanded compliment, like he thinks he is helping but heās really not. Maybe, he only tries the same trick once, like sending her across the townline (only tried once). He did give her away at her wedding which Iām sure meant a lot to Belle. He was there whether he approved or not.
Erm gah – I donāt know! Seriously, this is hard. Um ok thinking logically. While I would love Librarian!Belle and insecure Grandpa!Gold with little Henry shipping it, seriously would love that .. I think I have to pick the EF with Emma and teen!Bae purely because Iāve not read anything similar to that before.
Plus there needs to be more Swanfire fics generally. So yeah, rebel!Princess/Knight Emma and teen!Baelfire getās my vote. However, if you would prefer one of the others, then thatās fine. Write whatever youāll enjoy writing the most.

Well weāve been paired according to ships. Iām mainly a Rumbelle shipper but I do also ship Swanfire. I listed both on my application and Iām not sure which you are. Either is awesome. I do love them both.
In regards to anything else, I donāt know if weāll match or not. Like I said I want you to have fun, so if I like something that you hate, you donāt have to include it. My second favorite character is Regina. I love anything Gold family related. So Rumple and Henry grandfather and grandson bonding, or Gold being a father to Neal (if heās a kid) or a child with Belle. Smut isnāt necessary. If you wanted to write it then I wouldnāt object but itās not needed.
What donāt I want to see? Not a fan of āgoodā Zelena or āgoodā blue fairy. I think both are villains through and through. Iām not really a fan of Hook and Belle being friends unless Hook gave a proper apology. I have complicated feelings about Hook. I have liked him at times and I think he had real potential as a character. However, how heās been written lately makes me really dislike him. If heād had a proper redemption arc then no problem but that didnāt happen. To be honest I think thatās also why I canāt accept good Zelena. She supposedly became a hero in the space of about two episodes and I just canāt buy that, not after everything she did.
What sort of story would I like? You know Iām feeling belated sympathy for the person Iām the gifter for now. I asked them to give me a prompt and they struggled and now I get why. I like canon-divergence, I like all different kinds of AU. I would be happy with pretty much anything.
I know that is seriously not helpful but the deadline is tight on this one and I donāt want to box you in. I donāt even know what you like writing, although I am assuming you are writing? You might be making something else, there were lots of options on the signup and anything would be cool. Just want you to have fun.
Ok Iāve rambled on long enough to be honest. I can give you a selection of prompts to choose from if you would like. However, Iām not sure what ship we are working with. So, basically let me know what else you need to know. I hope everything Iāve said so far has been alright, I want this to be easy and fun for you as much as possible.
I feel a bit bad. I meant to post the next chapter of Painting Layers of Love today. I didnāt promise because I knew there was a chance I wouldnāt be able to do it. However, I kinda promised myself so I feel like I missed my target goal.
Whatās worse is Iām only Ā¼ of the way through. I went out of town for a couple of days and I came back early to write. I felt so exhausted I didnāt do any writing, I had an afternoon nap and then marathoned Star Trek. That was not the plan for today.
Just a random note about Star Trek: Enterprise – that theme! I love it š I put it on repeat when writing sometimes because itās so positive and inspiring. Then thereās Porthos – so sweet! I go awww every appearance.

He looked down at his costume, butter soft light brown leather jerkin, darker leather pants. He wasnāt sure if he was supposed to be a knight of old or a rockstar. All he knew is he felt ridiculous.
āNeal!ā Gold called.
Neal ran over. āItās Baelfire today dad! Remember?ā
āYes of course,ā Gold agreed with a soft smile. āNow Bae ā¦.ā
āCan I go up to the castle?ā Neal asked excitedly, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
Gold eyed the nearby cliff edge. āNot until I can take you.ā
Neal pouted but nodded in agreement. āThis is so cool!ā
Gold was glad none of his business associates were here to see him. He couldnāt help but smile at his sonās obvious happiness. For the last year Neal had become obsessed with fairytales, Knights, anything medieval. When he had heard a renaissance faire was coming to Storybrooke, a nearby coastal town just a couple of hours from their home in Boston, Neal had been begging to go. When Gold had inquired, heād found that there were no sightseers welcome, just participants in the fun. If anything that had made Neal even more ecstatic and Gold had never been able to deny his boy anything.
āYouāre going to be great dad!ā Neal enthused. āYou are so going to win.ā
Gold hissed in alarm. He didnāt want to disappoint Neal and his fencing days at university were more years than he cared to remember behind him.
āIāll do my best but I might not win,ā Gold cautioned.
āHey do you think my dad will win?ā Neal suddenly asked.
Gold looked up in horror. One of the passing ladies, dressed in traditional gown and corset had been passing. She was young and very beautiful. She smiled warmly at Neal.
āOh I think he looks like a winner to me,ā she teased. āI am Lady Belle.ā
She curtseyed and laughing Neal bowed in front of her. She pulled a ribbon from her gown.
āA knight canāt fail to win with a ladies favour.ā She tied the ribbon around his arm.
Goldās arm tingled with her soft touch. He smiled hesitantly at her. Belle leant over and lightly kissed his cheek. Gold felt himself blush. There was an announcement from the herald but Gold didnāt make out the words. Belle nudged him.

Heh Iām going to have to stop doing these inspiration pictures. They are starting so many fics for me and I canāt keep up š However, if I get an idea when I see the picture, I just have to write it down. I actually had to write this one on my phone as I was away for a couple of days, just got back.
Anyway, yeah I was hoping somebody would like it and ask for more because I would love to write more. However, like I said with the Rushbelle student/teacher one the other day – not this month. Next month yes but I need to clear the deck a little first.
Saw Star Trek: Beyond last night. It was awesome! Seriously, really enjoyable. I remember reading that the movie was plagued with production issues but the end result was fantastic.
It was really fun, very edge of the seat action. I know thatās not classic Trek but I like both movies and TV. Iām watching Star Trek: Enterprise now because Iām totally in a Star Trek mood.
