Heya Santa *waves*

I’m not surprised you haven’t written anymore *glares at the sun* stop making it so damn hot! Yesterday was better, by the night time it was nice. I kinda … refuse to open my windows on anything other than ventilate because I have this thing about bugs, and of course British houses trap heat so my room was still pretty warm for most of yesterday. Woke up this morning and it was so nice, and now the day is progressing and it’s getting hotter again and just ugh can it be winter please?

Anyway, enough moaning about the weather. I’m not sure if I should apologize for the fic turning epic, or do a *happy dance* because wow that sounds incredible, maybe both? I hope it won’t give you trouble Santa, as always what I want most is for you to be happy and enjoy writing the fic.

Hmm food. My tastes are very simple to be honest. It’s sort of a joke in my family that I’m the best person to take out for dinner because I don’t like anything fancy. Chain places, and the cheaper ones at that, are the order of the day. So I really know absolutely nothing about proper food, the kind that they would serve at an upscale restaurant like Gold works at. I’m also a pretty rubbish cook. My version of “making an effort” involves anything that I actually have to chop stuff for, or sit and babysit it rather than leaving it and coming back when it’s cooked. I know I’m terrible.

That being said. I eat a fair bit of pasta and rice dishes. I like to stir-fry things and then either have it with pasta, or mix it with rice. I don’t like mash, I’m not really fond of potatoes full stop unless they are the fries variety. I don’t really like heavier meals like stews, but I confess that if I can’t avoid it then I will have rice rather than mash. I know rice with gravy is probably weird but it tastes nice to me. When I’m not feeling well I’ll often have sausages with rice and gravy.

So yeah pasta, rice – bacon! Seriously bacon goes with a lot. Oh and peppers (not the hot kind) also go with so much. Chicken is probably the meat I eat the most. Although I don’t like whole roast chicken, it’s got a funny flavor. What else do I eat on a regular basis? I usually have spaghetti and meatballs most weeks. This is probably not at all helpful for you. It’s too plain, not fancy enough. If Gold is the fancy head chef, I would be teenage Bae staring at the fancy food in horror and not wanting to eat anything heh.

Sorry Santa. I just don’t know anything about food. I hope you have a good week! Oh and I hope you stay cool!

YOU MANAGED TO WRITE IN THIS HEAT????!!!!!

You are my hero! Seriously how did you do it? I’m in awe! I didn’t even turn the PC on today because it was too sweltering. I suppose I could have written on my laptop (I turned that on to reply to this) but I think my brain dribbled out my ears or turned into cotton wool or something.

Although I suppose it’s a matter of circumstance. Last July had an incredibly hot week and that week I wrote 30k but the situation was different. So even though it was technically hotter on the thermometer, I’m hotter right now than I was then. Ugh I don’t know if that makes sense – it’s the heat! Hopefully it’ll cool down soon, although I was told it’s only set to get warmer *cries*

I’m just not used to being hot. I’m perpetually cold normally. So usually everyone is complaining of being hot and I’m wearing a sweater and looking for a blanket, but I guess 30 degree weather is too hot even for me … and did I just spend three paragraphs complaining about the heat? Ooops sorry Santa!

I’m so glad to hear that you are enjoying writing the fic! That’s what makes me the happiest, thinking that you are happy 🙂 So thank you so much for that! Heh well it would probably be a good job without the customers right? 🙂 I’m pleased the movie AU isn’t giving you too many problems. I’m so excited to read this! I’m alternating between counting down because yay fic, and going eeek where’s the time going in regards to mine heh. Do you find that Santa?

As it stands, I have Gold as the uptight head chef, teen Bae as his son who suddenly comes into his custody, and Belle as the bright young thing hired as a sous-chef. I have Mal as the restaurant owner, Jefferson in an amalgamated role as the restaurant maitre d’, and Regina as Gold’s therapist (because oh, the snark will be wonderful). So yes that definitely sounds good to me! 🙂 I’m sorry the movie AU is giving you trouble. I’m happy with a loose adaptation, or a stricter one, or basically you know whatever heh. I’m happy with anything really. I just want you to enjoy yourself. I think all those characters sound perfect! Seriously it sounds fantastic.

Oh wow that’s so cool! You are a fellow countryman 🙂 which kinda narrows your identity down a bit but don’t worry, I still don’t have a clue who you are. Yes it was hot today! I also hate British weather, I think hating the weather is actually part of being British to be fair heh 🙂 Unfortunately it’s set to be even worse tomorrow so please don’t worry about starting writing the fic. Just stay cool! Slaving over a hot computer is not fun when it’s 30c.

I haven’t actually started my gift yet either. We have people staying this weekend and between pretending I’m sociable, and all the extra chores guests generate (plus the heat), I haven’t written anything yesterday or today. I keep saying – tomorrow! to myself as well heh 🙂 I live in hope!

Heh Leroy is always great in canon with how he runs around screaming about things. I always thought he and Astrid got a raw deal. Granny is great with her crossbow and the way she peers down her glasses at people. I don’t think much gets past Granny 🙂 With Henry I always wish they’d done more with his relationship to Rumple within canon. He’s Rumple’s grandson and the only link Rumple has to Bae left. David’s pretty cool too. Oh and I loved early season Emma. Yeah I think we’d get on great Santa, you like cool characters! 🙂

I’m so glad you don’t like romantic Regina and Rumple. I will join you in the running screaming at the thought club. Well in many ways I think up until 6A when the writing forced different, the actors certainly played the father/daughter dynamic. Family is more than blood so if you want them to have the father/daughter dynamic then that’s certainly more than fine with me.

Oh that’s a point. You mean non-romantic, quasi father/daughter, frenemies type dynamic with Rumple right? I’m 100% down for sassy Regina and Rumple, who understand each other better than almost anyone else but aren’t exactly what you could call friends. I don’t like romantic Regina and Rumple in the slightest. By all means give Gold a past love-interest if you like, no worries about that, but please not Regina.

So Santa what are your favorite characters? Or characters you don’t like? You have no opinion on Regina which is cool, how about the other mains? 🙂
