One of the things I’ve always found with movie AUs is that there’s a fine line between writing the characters in characters and writing them as carbon copies of their film counterparts, so I’m striving to keep the OUAT characters as we know and love them – so there’ll be some changes to the relationship dynamics from the film. As it stands, I have Gold as the uptight head chef, teen Bae as his son who suddenly comes into his custody, and Belle as the bright young thing hired as a sous-chef. I have Mal as the restaurant owner, Jefferson in an amalgamated role as the restaurant maitre d’, and Regina as Gold’s therapist (because oh, the snark will be wonderful). If that sounds good to you, we should be good to go!

So yes that definitely sounds good to me! 🙂 I’m sorry the movie AU is giving you trouble. I’m happy with a loose adaptation, or a stricter one, or basically you know whatever heh. I’m happy with anything really. I just want you to enjoy yourself. I think all those characters sound perfect! Seriously it sounds fantastic.
