Marina!Gold, why you were pining for Belle did you ever have any fantasies about what it might be like to be with her? In both a platonic, daily relationship, way and in a sexual, night time indulgence, way?

image

Of course not, such a thing would be highly inappropriate …

I suppose occasionally my mind might have wandered. If it wasn’t near rent day, then time does sometimes pass intolerably slowly at the shop. I might have wondered what it would be like if Belle came into browse. The collection is quite eclectic, I thought that might appeal to the traveler in her. I imagined offering her a cup of tea, so that we might chat for a short time. I never really dared imagine much more than that, it seemed so impossible.

As for more *cough* intimate fantasies, quite frankly dearie that is none of your business. Besides, I don’t really think I can be held accountable for whatever my mind conjured up whilst sleeping.

Belle: *sidles in the room eyes alight with mischief* So what did your mind conjure up while you were sleeping hmm? Did the dream come to a satisfying conclusion or did you have to take yourself in hand?

Gold: *nervously* I don’t think our questioner needs to know all the details sweetheart.

Belle: Then I suppose we’ll have to take this interview somewhere private …

Love at the Marina Belle or Gold: Is Cora still running free? Has she ever tried to go after either of you? I worry about her…

image

(OOC: Gold’s hair grew back, in other words the gif searcher was frustrating me and short hair gifs are thin on the ground)

Gold: I’m sorry what was that dearie? Cora? No need for concern there. She fancied herself very clever getting away with it all. Revenge would just have attracted unwanted attention for her.

Belle: *rolls eyes* You’re lucky I find you being smug so attractive.

Gold: *smirks* I suppose our friend is correct, Cora did get rather desperate. I refused to buy any of her properties and consequently Mills Construction headed for bankruptcy. Coming after either of us would have been counter-productive. I did rather enjoy her begging me to reconsider after everything she put you through.

Belle: She’s in jail now though. She got so desperate she made a mistake and then finally the law caught up with her. Justice was finally served.

Gold: And I acquired Mills Construction for a song when it was sold off to cover the debts. Happy endings all round.

Enter Sandman!Rumple – any idea why your subconscious is sure that Pan is still at large?

Ok there are two answers to this. Sensible answer and not sensible answer. I’m extremely tired and so my resistance is low, so you get both answers!

image

Sensible:
My mother manipulated events to steal my son. I lost him before I ever had a chance to hold him, before I even knew his name. My father – Pan, had Bae in his clutches for over a century after I lost him. I suppose the comparison is rather inevitable. Pan isn’t at large, I sent whatever was left of him into the river of lost souls. However, dreams know no logic. Even after nearly three centuries, I still feel like a lost boy when it comes to my father.

You must have caught me on a bad night dearie, far too much personal melodrama at work. I can barely close my eyes without imagining some enemy from my past, dead or not, trying to destroy my family. Gideon is so little and it’s my duty to protect him. I failed Bae so many times. The fact that I have him back now is a miracle. I won’t fail Gideon as well.

Not-Sensible:
“Magic can do much but not that. Dead is dead.” – this used to be true, an inviolate rule of magic. However, like all rules, once it’s broken it becomes useless. I sometimes blame myself because I was ‘resurrected’ first. However, that at least still carried a price – a life for a life. It was the pirate’s resurrection, and the portals opened to the underworld to save him, which broke down the barrier and allowed those with enough power and will to do what was previously impossible – bring back the dead.

I can’t regret this, it saved my beloved boy – Baelfire. However, once a door is opened, it’s like Pandora’s box and it’s a door which can be opened from both sides. I have no proof that Pan has returned but the shadow only took orders from him. Either way, it matters not who is responsible. The second star to the right, and the lingering traces of magic, all point to where we must go to save Gideon – back to Neverland.

#I have a bad feeling about this#new fic which I am so not writing#or at least that’s what I keep telling myself

Love at the Marina Gold: You and Belle were thrown together as you investigated Billy’s murder. Before that, did you have any encounters with Belle? What did you think of her?

image

Up until the poor unfortunate death of Mr Gusman, Belle I never crossed paths – to talk anyway. I would see Belle every time she docked in town, spreading her warm smiles everywhere she went. I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I altered my routine slightly, changing when I went to Granny’s on mornings I knew she would be there.

In retrospect in slightly more unfavorable terms, it could be considered stalking. Fortunately Belle looks kindly on the months I ‘pined’ for her – her words, not mine. What did I think of her? She was a bright light in an otherwise grey world. She even occasionally had a smile for the town monster, despite what I’m sure young Miss Lucas told her about me.

11 Questions

Thanks @of-princes-and-savages for the tag 🙂

1) Last thing you ate?: Salted popcorn

2) Favorite color?: Blue

3) Do you have a favorite Muppet? (I accept Sesame Street cousins.): I don’t even know any muppet’s, that craze obviously passed me by completely.

4) First thing you joined a fandom for?: Fanfic, always fanfic.

5) Favorite fandom to read fanfiction for?: Once Upon a Time, I don’t currently read any other fandoms.

6) Strangest conversation you can remember having?: Any of several conversations I had with my grandma before she died. Either they were weird because she was actually asleep at the time (it wasn’t always possible to tell because she seemed awake) or because she had a period of about a year when she hallucinated sometimes because of her Parkinsons. I’m not sure what the strangest one was.

7) How long is your hair right now?: Quite short, sort of Samantha Carter length. Actually, at least originally I had Carter’s haircut, as that was the picture I gave my hairdresser. I don’t really bother to style it these days and I’ve had a ton of trims, so it’s probably not the same now.

image

8) Movie you want to watch but have yet to commit?: Some of Robert Carlyle’s various filmography. I got a £10 amazon gift voucher for Christmas, and I’m contemplating renting a couple from Amazon Video. I remain undecided.

9) Favorite candy?: I’m not really big on sweets. I like dairy-free chocolate, and fruit pastilles but I wouldn’t call either a favorite, because I could never have it again and not miss it. I don’t really care much about sweets at all.

10) A gun that shoots ninjas made out of lightning, or a bow that shoots flaming swords?: Wow, that’s random. I’m going to say the first, the gun shooting ninjas because ninjas are sentient and would attack the target, flaming swords would just fall to the ground.

11) Can you think of eleven questions???: No hence why I’m going to be boring and end my part of the chain here. I’m never very good at tagging people anyway. It’s weird I always like tags, but I worry that I bother people if I tag them.

UMS!Lachlan : Wow, man, just calm down. Why you getting angry so fast ? No trick, just a question. It’s like those “You can have one million dollars but you have to spend it in one week end.” question. It’s a “You can have Belle but you can’t drink alcohol anymore” question. Look, I’ve got a scotch, 100% malt. Tis a taste of home :) How about a drink to make peace ? *takes two glasses out*

image

*mollified* oh, alright then. Cheers to you!

Besides I don’t even know Belle yet, not really, and she might not even like me, so it’s not really a fair question.

#deep down he knows he has a bit of a problem but isn’t willing to face it yet#give him some time and in another couple of chapters the answer to this would be very different#by then he’ll know what he stands to lose with Belle I reckon he got angry so fast because he was defensive

UMS!Lachlan : Would you stop drinking to nail Belle ?

image

Is this a trick question? I don’t understand what one has to do with the other. I can drink AND I can have Belle (if she’ll have me), why would I need to stop drinking? Are you trying to say I have a drinking problem? I like a drink but doesn’t everyone? I really don’t understand you, I thought we were getting along, you had some great ideas earlier but now …

#oh Lachlan is in for a rude shock#he is going to have to choose#well actually spoiler alert Belle doesn’t mind the drinking so much as the reasons behind it and that it’s to excess because of those reason

UMS!Lachlan, hey love, ya know that Belle is in your flat, there’s no electricity… You’ve done her candlelit dinner (good move, boy), now sing her a love song and romance her properly !

image

I like how you think man, I really do. However, it wasn’t a candlelight dinner, it was a candlelight cup of coffee and she ran off before I could even offer food, let alone put the moves on her. Still we’ve arranged to meet early in the morning for the drive to LA. The power will likely still be out when we get back, so who knows …

UMS!Lachlan, Hey Lachie ! How are you, boy ? You like the new neighbour ? What do you think of her ? Do you like reading ? Would you play a song for her ? Would you write a song for her? Would you like her in your bed? She looks so nice :p

image

What is this twenty bloody questions? Who signed me up for this? Alright, alright, I’ll answer. Yes I like her, who wouldn’t? She’s young, pretty and definitely would look very nice in my bed, or I would love to be the man in her bed, so long as a bed is involved it doesn’t really matter, Not that there has to be a bed just some kind of … well a gentlemen doesn’t kiss and tell you know, so use your imagination.

I don’t read much now, but back in the day all that time on planes, and tour buses, reading did help fill the hours. Would I play a song for her? I haven’t picked up a guitar in a long time *stares into the distance* I suppose if I had enough whiskey inside of me, it always was a good closing move.
