Bit random but for some reason today I remembered a thought I had when I first started watching Once Upon a Time.
I binge watched the first four seasons summer before last, before starting season five along with everyone else. So after having watched one or two episodes, despite knowing I shouldn’t spoil myself I read the wiki summary anyway. It nearly put me off from watching the rest.
I can’t remember the exact quote and I’m too lazy to go search for it but basically the impression I got was that “new characters just randomly wandered in from the forest” and I was not happy with that. It made it sound like the curse had created Storybrooke and that just for no reason new people just materialized. I hate things happening for no reason.
You have no idea how relieved I was when I actually watched and discovered that it wasn’t just random. I think when I got to Elsa’s arrival, and I learned how that actually happened, I remembered that stupid wiki page and contemplated going to edit it. Talk about misleading.
I’m not sure why I felt like sharing this random anecdote. I guess I’m just saying the show is better than the wiki page made it sound. Although I guess trying to concisely explain the craziness of the show isn’t an easy thing to do. It’s only with the benefit of context that it all makes sense.
