A summary post of what happened last month fic-wise, and my plans for the forthcoming month, because I can’t hit a target, if I can’t see it.

Coming up definitely in August:
– The next five chapters of The War Within (posted every Tuesday)
– The rest of Painting Layers of Love, so it gets completed.

What I hope August might bring:
– A couple more chapters of The War Within should there be that many (posted on Friday’s)
– The Rush/Carter oneshot because it’s a oneshot and then I can clear it off my list, which always feels good.
– The first chapter of Nightwalkers (based on this discussion thread)
– A fic based on the A Monthly Rumbelling Event if I am inspired by any of the prompts.

I know I said that I hoped July would bring the first chapter of Nightwalkers and that didn’t happen. That makes me sad because I am really excited by this idea and the side of Swanfire I want to include. I planned out the general arc the other day while I was waiting for someone. I don’t know if anyone else ever gets this but I have to write this fic, because I really really want to read it. Is that weird?

Sadly Ripple Effect, my Rushbelle fic, has been put on the backburner for the time being. I really want to write it but not enough hours in the day! As I said in a random writing thoughts post I’m worried about maintaining a consistent posting schedule with multiple WIP’s. Painting Layers of Love wasn’t intended to be a WIP, it was an accidental WIP and I hope to finish it, and get it off deck, as soon as possible. I’m not committing to a regular posting schedule for it because I just don’t know how much I’ll be able to manage.

Finding out what I could manage, and increasing it, was the theory behind adding Friday as an optional posting day for The War Within. 1) I will be able to finish The War Within faster. 2) It will push me to up my game and write more each week, which is something I’ve now inadvertently forced by adding the accidental WIP.

Basically we’ll have to see what happens.
