Ok I have 4,345 words to write before tomorrow! I’m also procrastinating – yay me! 🙂
Excuse me while I grumble for a second – I had to work that out with a calculator! I know the horror haha 🙂 It’s because I built myself a word count meter, a very rough and dirty one to work like NaNo’s graph and tell me things like how many words I have left to write until target. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to like today and I haven’t coded seriously in years. I coded this meter in the summer and I’m just not up to debugging it today. So I’m just snarling at it because it’s decided not to work.
In other news I saw Rogue One yesterday. Knowing what the outcome had to be because obviously it’s a prequel, and watching the events live and in color are very different. No spoilers but honestly, I was torn between amazement at the wonderful visual scenes, and horror/sadness at the story. Also Governor Tarkin’s very existence gave me so many ideas about digitally created people, and Lord Vader well … I know they said that they kept his scenes minimal because he then had a greater impact but seriously I would watch a whole movie of him swinging a lightsaber around.
I am like a child sometimes. I mean it’s stupid because if I did just see a movie where it was all flash with wonderful fight scenes, then I would be griping because it’s the story that stays with me, not the visual effects. So while I might watch a movie like that, it wouldn’t then be a very good movie. It’s just I mean it’s Star Wars and that means lightsabers. Heh, I came home and I logged into Swtor to swing around the lightsaber myself. I’m going through the class storyline for the Jedi Consular at the moment – double bladed lightsaber and I’m kinda roleplaying as an Obi-Wan type figure. To be honest I have more fun playing on the side of the Empire. The Imperial Agent storyline is epic and I want to play that again. I probably won’t because I’ve had this game since it’s launch 5 years ago and I’m still barely halfway through the base game, I haven’t touched a single one of the expansions.
I’m going to shut up now. I have 4,345 words to write today /slaps self.

Come on, I know you can manage 4.345 words! Btw, Star Wars is simply too cool for words.

My mind was boggled by Rogue One, too. I know just what you mean about being torn between euphoria and horror. And yes, the digital effects–to see Carrie Fisher as the Princess Leia before the events of A New Hope on the day she passed away. It was surreal in every respect. And yes, you will get the words done. Remember they don’t have to be perfect words. Just words.

Thank you both, you are so nice!
I have about 500 words, so I’m what 1/9th of the way there? It doesn’t matter, I’ve started and that’s the hard part. I just got to keep going from here. Right now, Emma and Bae have just gone into the school dance and Mary Margaret embarrassed them. I’ll be swapping back to Belle and Gold in a bit, where finally Gold will learn Belle’s plans for their evening. I’ll give you a hint it involves a certain mansion by the sea 🙂
