There are so many words in language. Sometimes I put a word into the thesaurus because using the same word repeatedly isn’t good writing-wise (unless it is intentional) BUT
Words might mean the same but they don’t mean the same. They have different inflections and situational uses. Like flustered – nothing means exactly the same because it isn’t confused, or agitated, or discombobulated, or anything else the thesaurus suggests because it can be ALL those things with a mix of embarrassment and self-deprecation etc.
Language is specific. Otherwise there wouldn’t be so many words.
Of course that doesn’t help me when I’m trying to construct a sentence without using flustered three times.
