Today in Sam’s world I have been searching for a new computer monitor. My primary monitor is dying, it is over a decade old and has served with honour and even now it is struggling valiantly on (but the struggles on boot and wake from sleep say it’s on its way out poor thing).

Anyway I digress! You see I fell down the rabbit hole and spent far too much time looking when I should have been doing other, far more productive things.

What did I find? Weeeeelll I discovered there was a trifecta – price, spec and reviews. It’s like one of those brain teaser puzzles trying to get everything to line up at once. If I got spec and price to agree then there was a persistent fault apparently (and getting spec and price to agree was a nightmare on its own!).

Finally I found the magic unicorn – a monitor that ticked every box, I was so pleased … until I saw that they don’t make them anymore /facepalm.

Back to the drawing board *roll eyes*
