Though of course *I* want a fic where Rumple is a dressage trainer who has injured his leg and can no longer ride, and Belle the rider who inspires/goads him back into the sport. Of course, she forms a close bond with man and beast!
I’m 100% here for “Rumbelle at the Olympics” to be the next big fanfic trend in the fandom. I want ALL the fics. About ALL the sports. I want this to get so big it’s a category at the next TEAs.
How about if Belle is a pushy reporter who follows Gold into the locker room and gets an eyeful? THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

I’ve just had a wild and possibly unpopular thought but I’m just going to throw it out there and see what you guys think.
The Olympics only come round every four years. Why don’t we have a little mini-event thing? Produce as much “Rumbelle at the Olympics” fluff/smut or angst with a happy ending as we can. Set the due date for around the premiere, that way no matter what the premiere throws at us we will be ready.
We had Rumbelle is Hope and this could work on a similar basis. I’d be happy to do what little organisation would be required should people be up for this idea. Just a thought 🙂
The problem, at least for me, is that it kinda coincides with the Rumbelle Revelry, that’s from here till October. I don’t know if it’s just me though.

Yeah I’m signed up to Rumbelle Revelry as well. That’s an exchange though, I was thinking Rumbelle Olympics could be a lot more casual. Like Rumbelle is Hope, no signup required, do it if the mood strikes you and you have time, don’t sweat it otherwise.
However, you are right it does clash. Also we do have a lot of events already. Isn’t the second round of the Blow-off due in September? Plus A Monthly Rumbelling. It’s no matter, I just thought it could be fun, especially if a lot of people were considering writing Olympic themed fics anyway. I thought maybe something special for the premiere, it was a wild thought 🙂
