So I was wanting to share this little useless personal anecdote and couldn’t think where, and then it hit me – this is one reason for a tumblr. 😛

Anyway! I had to get new glasses (had my current ones 15 years adjusting is going to be a bitch). Now me being me I hate change and basically wanted to keep what I had which was impossible. Yes you can get new lenses fitted in old frames but 15 year old ones are much more likely to shatter.

(I have a point I swear).

I eventually found a pair that was quite similar and they felt ok on my face. They are kinda rectangular, half frame, with orange on what are apparently called the ‘temple arms’? My mum who was with me then pointed out the same frames but they had blue on the arms which she thought I’d like better. Ordinarily that would be true as I hate anything that is bright/stands out as I like to be invisible. Except

I was wearing my Star Wars Rebels sweater. The one that says “We make the impossible, possible”. And Rebels is orange with the Pheonix and I was just like “nope I want the Rebels glasses”. Nothing about these glasses says Star Wars, they are normal glasses from Vision Express, but it’s still a little touchstone to something I love 🙂
