About
My name is Jen, I’m changing it on my 18th birthday (May 1st) to Samantha. I’m currently 17 years old and I live in Suffolk, England. I’m currently attending sixth form and studying three A levels in Pyschology, Computing and Government and Politics. I have applied to Stafford University for a Web Development/Programming course. I live with my mother in a two bedroom house out in the sticks where I can touch all the walls in my bedroom, the room I hopefully will have at university is bigger, but I love it anyway because it’s mine.
In my spare time I like to watch TV and discuss it with other fans. I don’t watch a lot of TV but I’m very dedicated to what I do watch which is mainly CSI:NY, House M.D, Grey’s Anatomy and New Tricks. I’m also a fan of lots of old or cancelled shows. My life is never quiet as when I’m not in lessons I nearly always have music playing. My taste is very eclectic, I like it or I don’t and I know next to nothing else about it.
I also like programming. Recently for my computing coursework I produced a PHP MySQL system to manage stock control for my mother’s business which can be run across an intranet. This was my first completed script, I plan to write more whenever I can find the time to do it right.
Also, when I have time I like to write short stories and like most people in the world have a partially completed novel lying around. I started this blog for a couple of reasons but the main one was to get me into the habit of writing regularly which is apparently a good first step to finally finishing that elusive manuscript. Another was because after reading Jem’s copyright article for the tenth time (or so) I couldn’t ignore my conscience anymore and went copyright free and as I didn’t have anything else for this site I decided it was as good idea as any to turn it into a blog. I personally don’t care if I’m the only one that ever visits or reads this. I don’t think it’s a good idea to do anything if the first reason isn’t for yourself and I think that a blog will work for me.
