Can You Hear Me Now?

Due mostly to me being a prize idiot and Five messing the TV schedule as well as zero promoting this is the first time I got to see this episode.

WHERE THE HELL WAS THE CONTINUITY?!

The explosion that rocked the lab blew the windows out, not to mention the shootout that occured before and all the glass walls getting shattered. The area was as pristine as ever. Neither Danny nor Adam showed any sign of injuries and it had only been 10 days. Also I’d love to know how come Mac didn’t get into trouble. He hadn’t put in for vacation leave yet, he was ultimately responsible for blowing up the lab and yet he comes back having been gone for 10 days with nobody saying a word. Purlease.

Also the credits. I recorded this episode on my hard drive so I can watch them again (and the whole episode if need be) but over all the compilation of clips was ok. It was different but I suppose they felt the need for new clips, fine but what the hell have they done to the theme? The adage if it ain’t broke don’t fix it comes to mind. Maybe it’ll grow on me but I’m certainly not swapping my current old ringtone for the new thing.

Now all complaining aside, well apart from Stella shooting the guy at the end (was that really necessary), and is it just me but is there some more disgusting guts and things like the autospy scene where they talked with the guys open butchered chest behind them.

Ok seriously complaining aside the case was interesting. I thought for a while given the obsession with the number 3 and the 3 prospective victims that this was tied in to Mac’s stalker. Evidently not. The methods of death was certainly inventive and when they were searching that music hall I was getting quite freaked (along with shouting at them to turn on the damn lights already) and when that hand shot up, well less said the better.

I’m not quite sure what I’d rate this episode. The case was good but the background stuff of continuity dragged it down. I’d give it maybe a 6/10, not one likely to be a favourite unless I wish to be annoyed.
